Premier League: Hamza Igamane in Everton’s good books

Everton scouts were “very impressed” after visiting Ibrox to scout Hamza Igamane during a game with his club, Glasgow Rangers.

According to TBR Football, Everton are keen to sign the 22-year-old ahead of the January transfer window. Blues boss Sean Dyche is keen to sign a new striker, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin showing “no desire” to extend his contract. Hamza Igamane could be the man to lead the line at Goodison Park.

The former AS FAR man’s performances in the Europa League have not gone unnoticed after he scored two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Nice and then struck against Tottenham in a 1-1 draw at Ibrox.

Given Rangers’ financial problems, Everton could take advantage of the situation and put on the table an offer that cannot be refused.

However, the Blues will face stiff competition for the striker with West Ham, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham and Newcastle United all keeping tabs on Igamane, while interest is also emerging in Europe with Lille and last season’s Europa League finalists Atalanta as well as Bayer Leverkusen.
